National CineMedia and Unique X Sign Agreement to Bring Programmatic Advertising to the Big Screen

World leading movie theater software company, Unique X, announces that it has signed an agreement with National CineMedia (NCM) to develop programmatic advertising capabilities for the Unique X Advertising Accord platform. The largest cinema advertising network in the United States, NCM serves 20,800 theater screens across AMC, Regal, Cinemark and other U.S. circuits. Through the programmatic features of Advertising Accord, NCM will be the first company in the world to offer true, wide-scale programmatic advertising to the cinema screen.

 

This addition to the existing Advertising Accord deal, which lasts up to 30 (thirty) years, will provide NCM with the opportunity to maximise efficiency, drive increased demand and grow the number of brands using cinema advertising.

 

National CineMedia’s CEO Tom Lesinski underlined “NCM is dedicated to driving the industry forward as the leading innovator and largest cinema advertising network in the US.  This deal with Unique X aligns directly with NCM’s vision for the future of our industry and will empower NCM to meet the growing market demand for programmatic advertising.

Unique X and National CineMedia jointly developed Advertising Accord for the U.S. market. The deal highlights Advertising Accord’s position as the pre-eminent theater advertising platform, and Unique X’s worldwide commitment to pre-show technology. Advertising Accord is now driving theater advertising across four continents, including some of the largest markets such as the UK, U.S. and Canada. Unique X’s software development operational strength and robust processes have acquired ISO/IEC 27001 certification as part of the project.
