ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NEW JERSEY, April 2026 — CineEurope will honour Roger Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Unique X and former senior executive at ODEON Cinemas Group, with the CineEurope Distinguished Career Award. The honour will be presented during CineEurope the week of 22–25 June 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.

With a distinguished career spanning over 37 years, Roger Harris has held senior leadership roles across exhibition and cinema technology companies in Europe and North America.
He began his career with Famous Players in Canada in 1988, where he rose to Senior Executive Vice President & General Manager, overseeing operations, retail, marketing, and the company’s IMAX circuit during a period of rapid growth and modernization.
In 2002, Harris joined UCI Cinemas Ltd as Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, where he led the circuit through a time of consolidation and industry evolution. Following He was responsible for the successful integration of ODEON and UCI Cinemas, he served serving as Chief Operating Officer for UK and Ireland from 2004 to 2014, providing senior strategic and operational leadership across two of the region’s leading cinema brands during a decade defined by technological advancement and market change.
Harris later joined RealD Inc. in 2016 as Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia (EMEAR), where he supported exhibitors across the region in the adoption and expansion of 3D cinema, Premium Large Format (PLF), and next-generation technologies.
Since 2018, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of Unique X, the rapidly growing and market leading global provider of digital cinema software solutions and content services, where he continues to support exhibitors, distributors and cinema ad agencies worldwide with operational, data, and infrastructure innovations.
